electronic Hidradenitis Suppurativa Physician Global Assessment
eHS-PGA
Assessment of acne inversa severity made easy and quick
What is the eHS-PGA?
The eHS-PGA is the electronic version of the HS-PGA (Hidradenitis Suppurativa Physician Global Assessment), a tool used to assess the overall severity of Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) or acne inversa from the perspective of the physician. It takes into account the number and type of lesions, divided into non-inflammatory nodules, inflammatory nodules, abscesses and draining fistulas.
The HS-PGA uses a scale ranging from 0 to 5, with each value corresponding to a specific level of disease severity. The scores are assigned based on the physician's evaluation of the patient during a clinical examination or visit. The higher the HS-PGA score, the more severe the disease is considered to be.
The HS-PGA is often used in clinical trials and research studies as an outcome measure to assess treatment efficacy and to monitor disease progression over time. It provides a standardized assessment of HS severity from the perspective of healthcare professionals, complementing other scoring systems and patient-reported outcome measures.

How to use the eHS-PGA
The eHS-PGA should only be used by healthcare professionals. The eHS-PGA score for acne inversa is measured by the number of inflammatory and non-inflammatory nodules, abscesses and draining fistulas and ranges from clear (0) to very severe (5). Each severity level is distinctly defined by a relevant morphological description to ensure comparability of eHS-PGA scores between healthcare providers and over time
The following versions of the eHS-PGA are available
Features
USER-FRIENDLY
The eHS-PGA is straightforward to use, thanks to the clear morphological description of the severity states.
QUICK
As the severity is determined based on just four defined characteristics, the eHS-PGA is quick to use.
MULTILINGUAL
The eHS-PGA is available in different languages. The use of the respective first language reduces language barriers and supports the understanding between physician and patient.
SEVERITY MONITORING
By storing values, the eHS-PGA allows for easy monitoring of acne inversa.
ACCESSIBLE FROM ALL DEVICES
With DermaValue, your eHS-PGA is always just a few clicks away. The application is available for PCs, tablets, smartphones, and other devices.
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
Take care of the environment and save your patient data on the online platform or as PDF files.
